The Ocean liner Titanic was built at the Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast (only 45 miles from our shop) in 1912. Unfortunately as everyone knows she now resides at a depth of almost 8 miles somewhere off the Newfoundland Coast.
This tea towel carries a print of an original photograph of the Titanic as she underwent sea trials in Belfast Lough in early 1912. As you can see from the picture she was perfectly fine when she left Belfast!
Made with Linen Union.
